- Raine & Horne will help new principal top the table in Atherton
Superbrand Raine & Horne has launched a brand-new office in Queensland's hugely popular Atherton Tablelands.
Long-term local real estate specialist Collette Rowston will lead Raine & Horne Atherton after deciding to transition her successful independent Atherton Realty to the Australian real estate heavyweight.
Steve Worrad, General Manager, Raine & Horne, said Atherton Tablelands is comparable to Kurrajong on the lower slopes of the Blue Mountains in NSW. "It is a beautiful part of Queensland, and the climate is a massive appeal for home buyers, particularly retirees and downsizers."
The new office will offer residential sales and property management services in Atherton, Tolga, Yungaburra, Malanda and beyond to Heron, Ravenshoe, and Lake Tinaroo.
Expanding into Property Management
Ms Rowston said there are myriad reasons why she has transitioned the 18-year-old Atherton independent to Raine & Horne.
"We want to take our boutique business to the next level, which is hard to do as an independent.
"The business has started to expand into rentals to allow us to get our teeth into property management. But this experience made us realise that we need to know a lot more and need more support from an expert such as Raine & Horne.
"We need the backup and support of Raine & Horne to do it properly because Property Mangement is a sophisticated industry," she said.
The cash flow support afforded by a robust rent roll also appeals to Ms Rowston. "We also don't know precisely how the post-COVID markets will play out. I just felt that we just needed that extra cash flow boost provided by a bigger rent roll, not that we are having any problems. But it would just be nice to have that cash flow buffer."
Embracing the Raine & Horne culture
Raine & Horne's unique culture has already won over Ms Rowston. "I love the feel of the whole culture.
"I sat through the presentation with Steve Worrad, and right from the start, I could feel that family culture from the head of the group Angus Raine who visited our office in Atherton through to everybody else I've spoken to since.
"Raine & Horne seems to have a real focus on just being one big happy family feeling, and I'm feeling the warm and friendly culture with everybody I meet.”
Industry best technology support
Ms Rowston has been bowled over by Raine & Horne's information technology, including social media marketing tool Amplify, which can put a property in Atherton in front of a buyer in Adelaide.
"I love Amplify, and just listening to Steve and the team telling me about Amplify, and then reading about Amplify and how it works. That excites me, and I realise that I couldn't compete or afford this level of technology as an independent.”
Ms Rowston continues, "We have a lot of buyers from outside the Atherton Tablelands that we will be able to reach with the help of Amplify."
Located south-west of Cairns and rising more than 700m above sea level, the Atherton Tablelands is a lush, fertile region of rainforest, wetland, and savannah and is the perfect location for Raine & Horne's latest addition to its rapidly expanding Queensland network.
"The Tablelands has always been a dream for retirees. People move here when they finish work because we're 700 metres above sea level but without the heat and humidity in summer that Cairns experiences.
"In retirement, many people come to the Atherton Tablelands for the lifestyle and enjoy our beautiful lakes, waterfalls, and tropical rainforests."
