- Strathalbyn powerhouse dominates South Australian real estate awards
Raine & Horne Strathalbyn, led by the dynamic trio of Nick Grosvenor, Brendan Saunders, and award-winning rural specialist Paul Clifford has reaffirmed its position as a leader in the South Australian real estate market.
The team secured the prestigious Number 1 Top Office spot at the Raine & Horne Awards for Excellence in SA, winning both the Number of Sales Transactions and Sales Dollar Value categories.
“The accolades reflect Nick, Brendan and Paul and the team’s unwavering commitment to excellence and innovation, setting them apart in a competitive landscape in the Strathalbyn region,” said Angus Raine, Executive Chairman, Raine & Horne,
Secret to success
Mr Grosvenor, acknowledged as the Top Principal for Number of Sales Transactions, attributes the success of his office to the proactive approach, individual drive, and future-focused mindset of the team. Mr Grosvenor also placed second behind Mr Clifford, who is also the principal of Raine & Horne Rural SA in the Top Principal for Sales Dollar Value category.
“Brendan, Paul and I are only in our second year as business owners, and we are proud that our team’s efficiency, prioritisation of workload, and adaptability to digital tools have played a crucial role in achieving outstanding results.”
“We each have our individual goals, and as highly motivated individuals, we actively pursue personal and business growth.”
Mr Grosvenor continued, “Fortunately, we find ourselves in a favourable position as the residential market in Strathalbyn remains exceptionally robust.
“It has surpassed its performance from just two years ago. There is a notable rise in property listings, yet the demand from buyers remains remarkably healthy. We anticipate this trend to persist throughout the year.”
In the residential market, Strathalbyn’s sweet spot lies in the price range of $450,000 to $650,000, according to Mr Grosvenor. “We are attracting a significant influx of people from Adelaide, with around 80% of our buyers from out of the area.
“The appeal of Strathalbyn, with its semi-rural charm and proximity to essential services and the ocean, has contributed to its growth and increased demand.”
Individual achievements and major rural transactions
Mr Clifford, recognised by Raine & Horne in South Australia as the number Top Principal for Sales Dollar Value and Top Salesperson with the Highest Transaction, sets himself apart through a combination of a disciplined mindset, physical fitness, and relentless pursuit of his goals.
Mr Clifford’s recent standout sale of Malleebrae, a property on three freehold titles over 337 hectares at 219 Skewes Road, Goolwa[i], for $7.8 million, showcased the ace agent’s ability to handle unique properties and successful campaigns.
"I take pride in my accomplishments, as my passion for the rural real estate sector aligns closely with my commitment to consistency and maintaining integrity.
“As events unfold favourably, especially during a successful year, the priority is to sustain momentum, uphold established standards, and concurrently increase sales volumes.
“Building trust is integral to this process, and if I get recognised with an award along the way, then I know I’m headed in the right direction.”
Regarding the rural and lifestyle markets around the Strathalbyn region, Mr Clifford explains, “There’s been a shift from the frenetic pace we experienced during the peak of the COVID market. I consistently describe the current market as more sensible. It has certainly become more rational compared to a few years ago.”
Team dynamics and future growth
Raine & Horne Strathalbyn’s success is also evident in multiple Chairman’s Club rankings, with Mr Clifford achieving a Platinum ranking and fellow director Mr Saunders securing Silver.
“Chairman’s awards are highly regarded and reflect our team’s commitment to maintaining integrity, consistency, and trust in their client relationships,” said Mr Saunders.
“The strategic focus on core areas, coupled with our commitment to maintaining high standards, positions our office as a formidable force in the real estate industry in the Strathalbyn region.”
