Raine & Horne Rural expansion goes into overdrive with launch of two specialist offices in northwestern NSW
Raine & Horne Rural, one of the fastest-growing brands in rural real estate, is pleased to launch two specialist rural offices in Quirindi and Murrurundi, bolstering its presence in northwestern New South Wales.
Mr Jake Williams, an experienced professional with an extensive background in the real estate and farming sectors, will lead Raine & Horne Rural Quirindi and Raine & Horne Rural Murrurundi. Mr Williams will also operate specialist residential offices.
A diverse career journey lands at Raine & Horne Rural
Mr Williams's career journey began as a Jackaroo, followed by studies in Farm Management at Orange Agricultural College. Over the years, he has worked in an accounts role for Dalgety Stock & Station agency, in animal health research for Novartis. He worked as a rural sales agent for an independent in Quirindi between 2006-2008 and as a real estate photographer in Sydney. Between 2017-2023, Mr Williams operated for Bettington Rural, Quirindi between 2017 – 2023. He assumed the role of principal at Bettington Rural following the decision of Mr David Bettington to retire. The transition to Raine & Horne encompasses the rebranding of the Bettington Rural offices at two locations: 79 Mayne St, Murrurundi, and 2 Station Street, Quirindi.
Angus Raine, Executive Chairman of Raine & Horne, said, “The offices will be rebranded as Raine & Horne, marking the start of an exciting new era in the real estate markets in Quirindi and Murrurundi.
“We are thrilled to welcome Jake to the Raine & Horne family. His comprehensive understanding of rural life and his dynamic approach to real estate make him the perfect fit to lead our expansion in this region.”
New principal is eager to lead Raine & Horne Rural expansion in Quirindi and Murrurundi
Mr Williams said he is delighted by the opportunity to lead the Raine & Horne Rural expansion in Quirindi and Murrurundi.
“The two offices provide a solid source of income and are thriving local businesses, and we want to grow our rural and residential services,” said Mr Williams, who has listed a prize-winning 40-hectare stud farm “Hazelmere” at 2909 Kamilaroi Highway, Quipolly for $1.3 million .
“Joining Raine & Horne allows us to expand our rural services through the rural brand."
“What’s more, Raine & Horne provides me with a marketing approach reminiscent of what I saw when I was working as a photographer in Sydney, which I had been unable to replicate up here,” said Mr Williams, who also plans to introduce online auctions into the local rural and residential markets.
“My diverse background in farming and real estate has prepared me to cater to the unique needs of this region. The international links and marketing prowess Raine & Horne brings will undoubtedly elevate our service to our clients in Quirindi and Murrurundi.”
Raine & Horne’s commitment to providing comprehensive and innovative real estate solutions, such as the AI-powered marketing platform Amplify, aligns perfectly with Mr Williams’ vision for his new venture.
“We’ve seen a trickle of sales through Facebook, and our focus will be on offering tailored marketing strategies that harness the power of digital platforms and AI,” Mr Williams explains.
“With the rise of online options, we aim to tap into new avenues to connect buyers and sellers in this vibrant rural community.”
The launch of Raine & Horne Quirindi and Murrurundi marks a significant step towards strengthening the presence of the super brand that is celebrating 140 years in 2023 in rural and regional NSW.
“Raine & Horne has been in this part of NSW for many years, which is why Travis Wentriro, NSW Network Manager, Raine & Horne Group, approached me to reestablish an office in Quirindi. It’s a known brand here,” Mr Williams said.
“We are excited to push the Raine & Horne Rural brand here, and this is where a platform such as Amplify will appeal to the younger generations when they decide to sell or buy rural properties.”
Downsizers drive residential demand in Quirindi and Murrurundi
On the residential front, Mr Williams says that downsizers from Lake Macquarie, the Central Coast and the Lower Hunter regions of NSW drive demand for local homes.
Mr Williams said, “I have sold a few properties recently to former Sydneysiders, but the migration from the city has slowed since the end of COVID lockdowns.
“Downsizers often favour small two or three-bedroom cottages priced below $500,000. This choice typically results in them having a significant amount of cash on hand, as many of them have previously sold properties in areas with much higher price tags."
Looking ahead to the arrival of spring, Mr Williams foresees increased activity in the Quirindi and Murrurundi residential markets.
“We’re getting more appraisals, and we’re converting a fair number into listings, so I think it’s going to be a better spring than it has been in winter and autumn,” he said.
