Prestigious awards for Raine & Horne Commercial Canberra

Leading ACT property firm Raine & Horne Commercial Canberra secured several awards at the 2009 Raine & Horne NSW/ACT Chairman’s Awards, held at the Four Seasons Hotel, Sydney on Saturday 27 February 2010.

The office placed first in the hotly contested Top Commercial Office (Dollar Value) category. Frank Morella and Steve Burke were named Top Commercial Salesperson (Sales) and (Leasing) respectively. Mr Morella also placed second in Top Commercial Salesperson (Leasing).

Raine & Horne Commercial Canberra is also the REIACT’s reining Commercial Agency of the Year.

Raine & Horne Commercial Canberra proprietor Frank Morella congratulated his team on producing such great results.

“We’ve got a strong team and we’re getting the right results,” Mr Morella said.

“We’ve achieved a record price of 6.95% of $44 million for a recently completed building at 82 Northbourne Avenue, which we sold to a local business person.

“We offer a personalised service and run our office like a family business. We’ve got 15 employees and each individual is part of our family.

“We take a more collaborative approach, tailoring services to meet client requirements. We avoid dictating to clients the way things 'should' be done.”

Wayne Fleming took out the Outstanding Receptionist gong, adding to Raine & Horne Commercial Canberra’s awards haul.

“We get comments all the time from people saying what a wonderful phone manner and welcoming attitude Wayne has,” Mr Morella said.

As for the outlook for 2010, Mr Morella said several positive themes would underpin the ACT property market.

“Canberra got a little bit of attention during the GFC when people were looking for safe returns and good buying opportunities. The Canberra market offers that because it is backed by a lot of government departments,” he said.
