Whether it was for an ice cream, a bag of mixed lollies to eat at the playground, to buy bait to fish off the bluff or simply standing in queue waiting for your morning coffee after your stroll on the beach, Yilki has what you need.

Encounter Bay is a tourist hot spot just a little over an hour's drive south of the CBD. This coastal suburb is where rolling hills meet the picturesque bay which draw many for the scenery, wildlife, and various other attractions. Located on Franklin Parade, Yilki Store has the bay at its doorstep with uninterrupted views of the stunning coastline from Granite Island, all the way round to the bluff.

Trading 7 days per week from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., Yilki has been trading under its current ownership since 2000, however, Yilki has been looking after the locals and tourists since 1869. They offer a range of takeaway foods from hot chips to cold drinks, great coffee, lollies, and general store items. With outdoor seating under the palms or seating on the front benches for over 70 people, Yilki sells approximately 35kg of coffee each week and has weekly sales exceeding $20,000 (incl. GST) but can go as high as 60kg and $45,000 during peak season.
